Screen Printing Workshops

Set in a relaxed friendly atmosphere, this is a great opportunity
to experience screen printing
and the process that goes with it

“You are very relaxed which made us feel at ease. You made it easier for us to ask questions and made sure that we understood the whole process clearly. You are very knowledgeable and even took the time to answer my most random questions in detail which I appreciate.” R.Minter

Overview of the workshop
This one-day introduction into the process of screen printing is brilliant if you have never had any studio experience at all. It can also work as a good refresher for people who have ‘done it once at art college’ back in the 90s.

We will cover the main processes involved in screen printing and a general overview of different ways to create stencils, textures and its applications. In this course you will be printing on paper (which will be supplied) you’re free to bring along your own A3 sized paper but it needs to be suitable to print on.

During the course of the day you will learn how to prepare your screen ready to expose your artwork, set up your space ready to start printing, mix your chosen colour using the studios waterbased inks and finally printing a small edition of your very own artwork to take home with you.

The workshop is limited to 4 people, creating a friendly atmosphere and gives everybody enough time to understand the process properly and time to ask questions.

Please note: You must be over 18 to attend the workshops, is you’re interested in booking a class for someone younger please email me to discuss. We recommend that pregnant woman do not attend these workshops.

Workshop times: 10am - 4pm (including break for lunch)
Cost: £85 (this includes all materials used for the day, tea and biscuits!)
Location: Process Club, Unit 23 The Yard, Waterworks Road, Hastings TN34 1RT

What to bring
It’s important to dress for the day. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes which you’re not afraid to get a bit inky (although aprons will be supplied). Bring a light lunch with you, there’s a fridge to store food but no microwave.

Supply you artwork
The image you use for printing needs to be A4 in size and black and white. It can be photographic, an illustration, typographic or a simple doodle. They will need to be emailed across a week prior to the workshop so I can prepare them. I will go over this in the workshop. They can be a .jpeg, .pdf, psd. file format emailed to hello@processclub.co.uk with your name and workshop date in the title of the email.

We can offer you the ability to change the date (this offer must be used within the next 6 months from your original booking). We need 14 days notice for this to apply.
